The Rolling Stones are an English rock band who were icons of the rebellious 1960s counterculture. Formed in London in 1962, the lineup included guitarist Brian Jones, lead vocalist Mick Jagger, guitarist and vocalist Keith Richards, bassist Bill Wyman, and drummer Charlie Watts. The band got its name by chance -- a band member saw a Muddy Waters LP, and one of the tracks was “Rollin’ Stone.”
50 & Counting was a reunion concert tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of the band in 2012. It started with two secret gigs in Paris in October and ended with a Hyde Park, London concert in July 2012. The Rolling Stones have sold more than 240 million albums worldwide, won three Grammy awards, and are regarded as legends of rock and roll.
